Description
The combination of lincomycin and spectinomycin acts additive and in some cases synergistic. Spectinomycin acts bacteriostatic or bactericidal, depending on the dose, against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like Campylobacter, E. coli, Mycoplasma and Salmonella spp. Lincomycin acts bacteriostatic against mainly Gram-positive bacteria like Mycoplasma, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Treponema spp. Cross-resistance of lincomycin with macrolides can occur.
Indications
For treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections in calves, cats, dogs, goats, poultry, sheep, swine and turkeys caused by lincomycin and spectinomycin sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, E. coli, Mycoplasma, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Treponema spp.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to lincomycin and/or spectinomycin.
Administration to animals with an impaired renal and/or liver function.
Concurrent administration with penicillines, cephalosporines, quinolones and cycloserine.
Side Effects
Hypersensitivity reactions.
Slight pain, itching or diarrhoea can occur after injection.
Dosage and Administration
Intramuscular administration.
Swine and sheep: 0.1ml per kg body weight; horse and cattle 0.05ml; once a day, for consective 3-5days.
Breast perfusion: cow: 15ml each time; milch goat: 10ml each time.
Postpartum care of sow: 7 hours after giving birth, injecting 10ml can increase milk, prevent postpartum infection, endometritis, mastitis,etc.
Withdrawal Period
- For meat:
Calves, goats, sheep and swine: 14 days.
Poultry and turkeys: 7 days.
- For milk: 3 days.

Keep out reach of children.
